The Beacon Team are proud to support a group of Caravan Park Industry Heros on their "Bay's Wish Park-to-Park Tour" in raising funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This truly inspirational team of 15 bicycle riders commence a 1200km journey across Victoria on Saturday, 2 March over a 9-day period, organised by Roger Fuller, of Yarrawonga Manufactured Housing, who tragically lost his 8yo son, Baylis, when he died while riding a bike.
In honour of his son, Roger planned this ride to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation. As Roger put it: "Bay would have had a Wish, but he didn't have the chance. Let's ride and raise funds for other kids to make a Wish!"
Starting on Saturday, 2 March, these truly inspirational people began their circuit in Bendigo, taking in the Great Southern Touring Route towards Halls Gap, Port Fairy, Apollo Bay, Queenscliff, through Geelong to Melbourne. After which they tackle Country Victoria and the Murray from Benalla to Bright, Albury, Tocumwal, Moama and completing their loop at Bendigo after 9 gruelling days on Sunday, 10 March 2019.
The Bay's Wish Cycling Team stopped by BIG4 Beacon Resort and our onsite Mud Day Spa for a fleeting visit on Tuesday as part of their visit to Queenscliff. We were honoured to help provide sustenance in the way of Barista-made caffeine hits and rejuvenating massages to keep them focussed on the journey across The Bellarine Peninsula back to Geelong.
As a team, they have so far raised more than $44,000 for the Make A Wish Foundation. Good mates of BIG4 Beacon Resort, Garry and Tim from a popular NSW coastal holiday park, have a personal target of raising $20k from the ride, enough for about 4-5 Wishes!
We wish them all the very best in reaching their goal! Donate here
BIG4 Holiday Parks are proud to partner with Make-A-Wish Foundation by celebrating World Wish Day on 29 April. If you're planning a visit to Queenscliff in the near future, please get in touch with our team to find out how you can help us support more wishes.
