Pioneer Settlement
Step back in time and embrace the past at the Pioneer Settlement, situated on the banks of the Little Murray River. The Settlement is an open-air museum and offers you a chance to view historic buildings, antiques, machinery and livestock appropriate to the Mallee’s pioneering history. Take a cruise on the Murray on Swan Hill’s original paddlesteamer the Pyap or experience the Settlements unique Sound and Light Show at night. The Settlement is situated only 200 meters from BIG4 Riverside Park Swan Hill and is open every day 9:30am – 4pm (Except Christmas Day and Boxing Day).

Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum
Lake Boga, situated 15 kilometers south east of Swan Hill, played an integral part in the allied defense of the South Pacific during WW2 as it was an ideal stretch of water for the mighty flying. View the famous Catalina flying boat, one of the most distinctive aircrafts ever built. All types of Flying Boats serviced at Lake Boga are represented in the museum.

The Swan Hill Food and Wine Festival
Enjoy local wines and grab a taste of the regions quality local produce at the Swan Hill Region Food and Wine Festival, part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

Observatory & Planetarium
Situated 15 kilometers south east of Swan Hill at Lake Boga. Observatory night tours are available, viewing is through one of the largest auto GPS guided telescopes in Victoria housed in the special observing dome. Solar observing is also available in the daylight hours as part of the planetarium daylight viewing. Open Thursday to Sunday, bookings are essential.

Murray Downs Golf and Country Club
Ranked the undisputed Number 1 course on the Murray River by the leading golf publications, Murray Downs is the site of one of the most acclaimed and affordable golf destinations in Australia. The challenge of the Murray downs championship rated 18 hole golf course is exhilarating and will seriously test all facets of your game.

Native Forests
Situated 20 kilometers north of Swan Hill in the Viniefera and Nyah forests, red gum and box trees line the Murray River. In this picturesque area you will also find Aboriginal canoe trees, cooking mounds and burial grounds.

Murrabit (largest inland market in Australia) – 1st Saturday of the month, 45km south east of Swan Hill. Swan Hill Rotary Club – 3rd Sunday of the month, Railway station park. Nyah Lions Club – 2nd Saturday of the month, 24 kilometers north of Swan Hill at Nyah Trotting complex.
