The Australian Light Horse Memorial Park
Historical Sites and Heritage Locations
The Australian Light Horse Memorial Park covers 150 hectares and is part of the land which was Victoria's largest Army base, the Seymour Camp, known to many as site 17. Here, over 100 years ago, soldiers gathered to prepare for war.
Visitors can view scattered relics of the Army Camp days and climb Anzac Hill, which offers 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside. Once a busy camp, today the park is a quiet and peaceful place that is a great day out for the whole family.
