Don River Railway
The Don River Railway is a must see in Devonport. Tasmania's unique Railway Museum has the largest collection of steam locomotives and passenger carriages in Tasmania. Vintage or steam trains run daily along the Don River just outside Devonport. Open every day. Trains run on the hour: 10am - 4pm.

Tiagarra Aborignal Cultural Centre
Wander the Bluff headlands viewing unique aboriginal rock engravings and visit the Cultural Centre to see the life of the tribal Tasmania Aborigines portrayed in dioramas. Open Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm.

Bass Strait Maritime Centre
Opened in 2013, the Bass Straight maritime Centre builds on the objects, models and photographs of the old Maritime Museum, giving context to the collection. Situated in the old Devonport Harbour Master’s house, with views out to Bass Strait. the collection includes a superb collection of flags, paintings, photographs and charts, plus detailed models from the days of sail, the age of steam to the present seagoing passenger ferries.

Cherry Shed
Visit the Cherry Shed year round for an exciting cherry based cafe menu and various products. Come in spring to see the marvellous cherry blossoms or visit from mid-December to mid-February to purchase hand picked freshly washed cherries.

Devonport Regional Gallery
Housed in a fully renovated 1904 Baptist Church, the gallery predominately features 20th Century collections of fine and decorative art with an emphasis on Tasmanian artists. The Gallery presents an annual program of exhibitions, education and public programs including events and workshops.

Hellyers Road Distillery
Visit the home of Australia's largest distiller of  single malt whisky started in 1825 by one of the first European explorers to set foot in the rugged interior of north west Tasmania. Take part in the 'Whisky Walk' a fully guided tour, marvel at the visitors centre and  tasting bar or even enjoy lunch whilst enjoying tranquil views across the rolling landscape of the picturesque Emu Valley.

House of Anvers
The total chocolate experience - manufacturing viewing room and chocolate museum, Belgian style breakfasts and Tasmanian fare, tasting and sales of specialty chocolate truffles, fudges and pralines all within this special 1931 Californian bungalow.

Platypus Experience
A once in a lifetime opportunity to watch both live Tasmanian platypuses and echidnas, in an indoor setting and undercover. Take an educational guided tour of the platypus ponds and the echidna garden.

Seven Sheds Brewery Meadery Hop Garden
Owned and operated by Willie Simpson and Catherine Stark, Seven Sheds produces its flagship Kentish Ale and seasonal beers as well as honey wines and melomels. Opened in May 2008, the Seven Sheds brewery, meadery and hop garden provides a purpose built tasting room, brewery tours and cellar door sales. 25 minutes out of Devonport, its located on the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail

Spreyton Cider Co
Just 10 minutes from Devonport, Spreyton Cider Co brews cider right on the site of their family run orchards. Using traditioanl techniques with a modern twist the Cidery is open daily for tastings and sales of cider, fresh juices and fruit.

Turner Beach Berry Patch
Just 15 minutes from Discovery Parks - Devonport, Turner Beach Berry Patch offers fresh fruit Smoothies Ice creams, coffee, cakes and the opportunity to pick your own berries.

Spirit of Tasmania
Arriving or departing on the Spirit of Tasmania? Discovery Parks - Devonport is in very close proximity to the ferry terminal and is central to many tourist icons. This makes us an ideal location to start or finish your Tasmanian experience.

Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm
Just 15 minutes out of Devonport, stroll through the four hectares of raspberry plantings before enjoying a breakfast, lunch or snack of delicious berry creations including icecream, cakes and muffins.

Try creamy farm ice-cream, fresh bottled milk, cheese, cream and butter.  Stock up on provisions, including gourmet Tasmanian produce, cheese platters, grilled cheese sandwiches and locally roasted coffee made with award winning farm milk. Sneak a peek through the viewing window, where you will get a behind the scenes look at cheesemaking using traditional techniques with modern methods.

Australian Axemans Museum
Highlighting the sport of wood chopping which was developed as a matter of course between Bushmen, the Australian Axeman's Hall of Fame and Timberworks is the national museum
