Tors Drive in Theatre
One of the oldest drive-in theatres in Queensland, and has been open continuously since 1966! Come along to see the latest movies and recapture some of the nostalgia of the drive-in era. You'll always get double features at the Tors for less than the price of a single movie at other cinemas and we have the best hot food and candy bar in town at the lowest prices! Two screens mean there are double the movies shown so most nights there is screening suitable for adults and one for the children.
Texas Longhorn Wagon Tours
Texas Longhorn Wagon Tours commenced in 2009. Owned and operated by Michael & Lynda Bethel this is one of the most unique tourism experiences in Australia. Using a horse drawn wagon that was purpose built at Leahton Park along with the harness made in the Bethel Saddlery saddle shop guests are taken by horse drawn wagon to view the largest herd of pure Texas Longhorns in the country. The full experience also includes a traditional Aussie smoko of billy tea and camp oven cooked damper and other home-cooked delicacies. There is also an informative tour of the Bethel Saddlery saddle shop. The smoko is served from a fully outfitted exact replica chuck wagon, made in Texas by Glenn Morelend.

Brad an Sandra Carr are one of the most popular musical duo's in and around Cairns North Queensland. Each year they hit the road for an annual tour around Queensland and we are very lucky to be able to host them on their way through Charters Towers. Their repertoire is a wide eclectic mix of cover songs - country, rock'n'roll, easy listening & Australiana, together with their own songs. So if you love performers such as the Everly Brothers, Eagles, Crosby Stills & Nash you will love Carrizma.
