Stand on the viewing platform high up on the cliffs some 100 metres above the ocean for a magnificent sight and then enjoy a short walk along the walk trail that circumnavigates the point. The walk trail is suitable for all, with wheelchair and pram access made available.

The point was named after the French navigator Antoine de Bruni D’Entrecasteaux who came across the land on his way to Cape Leeuwin in 1792.

Point D’Entrecasteaux is a 4.5 hour drive south of Perth near the town of Northcliffe. Also close by is the Great Forest Trees Drive, where you can tune your radio into the tourist channel and follow the road through 48 kilometres of karri, jarrah and marri forest.

Tourists are advised to check for alerts and road/park closures before commencing their travel on www.emergency.wa.gov.au and https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au
