Murga Madre Latin Carnival - A Celebration of Street Culture

After three years of success, Murga Madre Latin Carnival returns bigger, brighter and more colourful than ever. This free-entry, family-friendly event is a vibrant celebration of the sounds, flavours and joy of Latin Carnival.
The festivities begin with the atmospheric Andean sounds of Sonido Madre Trio (feat. Monica Santos), supported by ethno-dancer Jael Velasco. We move on to participatory activities with hands-on carnival prop decoration and dance workshops for all ages by Chiquitines Dance Group.
Murga Madre will then ignite the street with a parade of contagious rhythms, and everyone is invited to join in. This is followed by a high-energy murga show led by special guest Maestro Salvatore Rossano.
Feast on Argentinian street food from Senor BBQ, indulge in sweet treats and gelato from Dulce, dance to DJ Tabone, and finish the night shaking the dancefloor to our favourite band The New Monos, playing their hip-hop, folklore and tango inspired originals.
