From the establishment of Laurel Lodge in 1870 to the City of Greater Dandenong's purchase of Benga in 1985, the gardens at Heritage Hill reveal how people once lived, what they valued, and how their relationship with nature evolved.

The exhibition traces the transformation of the site's historic gardens, including Benga's original layout and the influence of renowned designer Edna Walling, with a rare glimpse into the property's pet cemetery.
