Just a 20-minute drive from BIG4 Ballarat Windmill Holiday Park, the Eureka Centre Ballarat is a fascinating local attraction exploring one of the most significant events in Australian history.
Overview
The Eureka Centra is a ‘goldmine’ of local history, exploring the social and cultural impacts of the Victorian Goldrush. The centre focuses on the Eureka Rebellion and honours the stories of men and women who risked their lives in the fight for miner’s rights. It is the home of the original Eureka Flag and the Eureka Stockade Memorial Park.
What You’ll Experience
- Wander through the main exhibition covering the timeline of the Eureka Rebellion
- Displays of clothing and artefacts from the 1850’s.
- Enter the darkened, quiet flag room where the original Eureka Flag is kept.

The exhibition contains plenty of detailed information to read, so allow yourself time to wander through at a relaxed pace.

The Eureka Centre is open daily from 10am–5pm, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Time Needed
