Lake Samsonvale is a picturesque destination located in the Moreton Bay suburb of Petrie. As one of the well-known wonders of the town, Lake Samsonvale has a walking trail from Bullocky Rest to Forgan Cove. This inviting trail weaves along the water's edge which is perfect if you fancy yourself as someone who enjoys the wonders of nature. You will also be pleased to know that Lake Samsonvale is a great fishing hotspot for spangled, golden and silver perch, Australian bass and more. Both shore and boat fishing at Lake Samsonvale is strictly by permit only.

Lake Samsonvale is the perfect picnic spot known for never feeling crowded. Visitors are provided with some of the best picnic locations and barbecues that make for a great day out. Other activities that you can participate in at Lake Samsonvale include; canoeing, rowing, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking.
