We’re thrilled to share the news that BIG4 parks dominated their categories at the annual Out & About with Kids Readers’ Choice Awards, as revealed in late October 2020.
BIG4s across the country claimed best family holiday park honours in the various state and territory categories.
It’s quite the honour, as these decade-long awards are hugely popular. This year, they attracted more than 80,000 votes.
And we thought it was worth shouting about our top parks around Australia.
Before we get into it, we’re proud to have yet again claimed the Best Holiday Park Group in Australia award. This is testament to the BIG4 network’s unwavering and united focus to provide guests with high-quality accommodation and facilities to enjoy a great Australian break.
This beauty is regarded as one of the best family holiday parks in Australia, and with ample justification. For generations, guests have flocked to this wonderful beachfront park, which bursts with family-friendly facilities that are continually evolving and suit kids of all ages.

With its tropical garden setting and tranquil vibe, the park evokes a feeling of instant relaxation. However, little ones are more likely to be on the go, distracted by the engrossing entertainment options. Family paradise found.

This Airlie Beach accommodation option thoroughly earns its reputation as one of the most popular holiday parks in Australia. BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is set among expansive landscaped tropical gardens and delivers a feast of first-rate facilities that’ll keep children – and adults – entertained all day.

In late 2018, BIG4 Renmark Riverfront created a first in the Australian holiday park sector when it opened a sensory room dedicated to guests on the autism spectrum.

To top it off, some BIG4 Affiliate parks were also finalists, and one in WA – RAC Monkey Mia – was even named the best in its category.
