PATS Sapphire Central is an authentic sapphire discovery destination in Sapphire, at the heart of Queensland's Central Queensland Gemfields. Home to Pats Gems Tourist Fossicking Park, established in 1979, PATS gives visitors the opportunity to search for locally mined sapphires and zircons with friendly guidance from experienced local miners.
Visitors can enjoy a hands-on fossicking experience, learn how to correctly wash and sort their wash, and discover the excitement of finding a gemstone of their own. PATS also features local sapphires and zircons, gems and jewellery, a retail shop, and a licensed café, deli and bakery—all together in one welcoming destination.
