Let’s take a quick tour…
We’ll keep the history lesson short. Essentially, BIG4 began in 1979 in the regional Victorian city of Ballarat when four independent caravan park owners united. Their focus way back then was on delivering first-rate accommodation, facilities, and service in its parks. And those aspects remain instrumental to the brand today.
We are a marketing cooperative, and all parks are franchisees that are individually owned and operated. Some are family businesses; others are owned by corporate groups.
All over Australia! We have a network of roughly 180 holiday parks in every Australian state, as well as Northern Territory, and among so many key holiday destinations. Beachside, riverside, lakeside, mountainside, or among classic regional Australian landscapes – you’ll find us everywhere.
Sure, you can hitch the van and take advantage of our many excellent sites, but we’ve evolved rapidly in the last 40-plus years.

A handful of BIG4s have been pioneers in their field, installing sensory rooms dedicated to children on the autism spectrum and their families.
More and more BIG4 parks are welcoming dogs, and some have even installed fantastic facilities like agility courses and dog washes. Naturally, guest safety is paramount, so T&Cs apply.
