This natural lagoon connects to the Adelaide River floodplain during the wet season and becomes isolated in the dry, concentrating wetland fauna in its still waters.

Please note: Saltwater crocodiles inhabit this area year-round. The Adelaide River Coastal Floodplain is believed to have one of the highest crocodile densities in the world. For safety, the park is closed to the public after periods of heavy rain.
