Changes and Cancellation

Customers who book a break on BIG4.com.au will be covered by the BIG4 COVID-19 Flexi Booking Policy and the BIG4 Brand Promise, see the 'what you need to know' section, below, for more details.


Pets

Pets are permitted on powered and unpowered sites at the manager’s discretion and must be noted in the comments section when booking. Pets are not permitted in ensuite sites or cabin accommodation and are not permitted during high season (23rd Dec-31st Jan & Easter Weekend). Any person with pets in the park at these times will be asked to leave. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. A $50 dog bond is payable on arrival to the park.


Deposits and Payments

Full payment is required at the time of booking for all online bookings. Deposits are required when booking by telephone with the park. Please confirm deposit requirements with the park. Bookings are not confirmed until deposits have been received. All Ensuite/Powered/Unpowered site bookings made between 23rd Dec-31st Jan & Easter dates must complete a site agreement form which will be sent to them on completion of their online booking. This form is compulsory and must be completed and returned within 48 hours of booking or your reservation will be cancelled, and all monies paid will be refunded.


Fees

The quoted tariff is based on the number of adults and children advised. Should this number vary, the tariff may alter. Rates apply as per the following age groups: Adults: 15 years old and over, Children: two-15 years old, Infants: 0-two years old.


What you need to know

COVID-19 Flexible Booking Policy: 
Notwithstanding any applicable rights under consumer law, guests will have the option to select a new date for their existing booking or accept a credit valid for up to 12 months, if, at the time of stay, any of the following criteria applies or is reasonably expected to apply: 

  • You, or an immediate family member, have COVID–19 at the time of stay or you have tested positive for COVID–19 within 7 days prior to arrival:
  • Under a local health or government directive, you are required to self-isolate because you have been identified as a contact of a person who is a reported or suspected case of COVID-19 (note: the self-isolation requirements vary depending on the state and/or circumstances); or 
  • A State Government or Commonwealth Government directive is issued and means you can no longer travel to, or from, your destination. 

Note: You may be required to provide reasonable evidence that the above circumstances apply. 

Awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test will not automatically give rise to a right of cancellation under the COVID-19 Flexible Booking Policy. If, within 72 hours prior to arrival, you have any COVID-19 symptoms and/or you are required to obtain a COVID-19 test, please contact the park directly to discuss your options, including the potential to defer the date of arrival and/or shorten your length of stay. 

To utilise this policy a guest must have made their booking on big4.com.au.  Any difference in booking value will need to be paid directly to the park as per their usual booking terms and conditions. To request either a change to booking dates or to receive a credit for a future booking in relation to the COVID-19 Flexible Cancellation Policy the customer will need to contact the park directly. 

Any cancellation which is deemed not applicable to the Flexible Cancellation Policy will need to comply with the park's usual terms and conditions. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

A  cancellation fee of $30 applies in every instance to all cancelled confirmed bookings.

Standard 14 day Policy (Year round except Xmas & Easter)

-          Cancellations made greater than 14 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less our standard $30 cancellation fee. If cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival you will forfeit all monies paid.

Easter 30 day Policy

-          Cancellations made greater than 30 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less our standard $30 cancellation fee. If cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival you will forfeit all monies paid.

Xmas/Jan 60 day Policy

-          Cancellations made greater than 60 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund, less our standard $30 cancellation fee. If cancelled less than 60 days prior to arrival you will forfeit all monies paid.

We strongly recommend travel insurance for your own peace of mind. There are NO REFUNDS on early departures.

ALL PEAK SEASON BOOKINGS (EASTER & DEC/JAN HOLIDAYS):
All Ensuite/Powered/Unpowered site bookings for peak periods MUST complete a Site Agreement Form or no booking can occur. This includes booking periods 23rd December until 31st January and Easter weekend dates. If you book a site online, one of these forms will be sent to you and need to be returned within 48 hours or your booking will be cancelled and refunded if any monies paid. Please fill in the site agreement form and email back to the park at info@big4emubeach.com.au

NOTE: When filling in details regarding sizing of caravans, tents etc - please give us as much information as possible to make it easier to place you on the correct size site. Caravan sizes including drawbar are a fantastic help, same as if you have a rear entry van, slide outs or expandas. The more information you put on the form, the better.

Due to space limitation and safety, strictly one vehicle only per site. Limited boat and trailer storage is available at a charge of $5 per day. We strongly suggest travel insurance for your own peace of mind.
