In Bendigo in 1874 two women's teams played cricket for the very first time in Australia. Money was raised for charity, the women were praised for their sporting endeavours and then – all hell broke loose – as the press decided that women should stay home, know their place and sit down.
Written by Christine Davey and presented by award-winning regional theatre company – Skin of our Teeth Productions – this joyous, musical explores the first women's cricket match in the country and what it means for everyone.
