With a breathtaking outlook over the trees to the beautiful Castlemaine Botanical Gardens from an expansive and private wooden deck, the tents offer every feature needed for the perfect getaway. There's a four-poster queen-size bed, a sleeping nook for the children with two single mattresses, that converts to a cosy day bed or additional double bed, an extra trundle bed and camp bed both suitable for children, a well-equipped kitchenette and dining area, large sofa and coffee table, and bathroom. Luxurious, rustic details include quality linens, cushions, rugs and lighting, and split-system heating and cooling ensures comfort year-round. A special highlight is a freestanding claw-foot bath on the gorgeous deck - literally the ideal place to sit back and soak in the views and the peace and quiet. With all the facilities of BIG4 Castlemaine on offer, the Mill Precinct across the road and the best of Castlemaine just a stroll away, our Safari Tents are a fabulous base for your next holiday adventure!

What you need to know
COVID-19 FLEXI BOOKING POLICY: Withstanding rights under consumer law, guests will have the option to select a new date for their existing booking or accept a credit valid for up to 12 months should any of the below criteria impact their planned stay: • You or an immediate family member becomes sick with COVID–19 • You are forced into self-isolation • You are awaiting the results of a COVID–19 test or • A State Government or Commonwealth Government directive is issued and means you are no longer able to travel to or from your destination. Any difference in booking value will need to be paid direct to the park as per their usual booking terms and conditions. To request either a change to booking dates or to receive a credit for a future booking in relation to the COVID-19 Flexible Cancellation Policy the customer will need to contact the park directly. To utilise this policy a guest must: • Have made their booking on BIG4.com.au, and • Where requested, provide proof to the park where the booking is held of COVID-19 impact as listed above. Any cancellation which is deemed not applicable to the Flexible Cancelation Policy will need to comply with parks usual terms and conditions, see below.
BEDDING: Bedding is included on all beds. Please make sure all guests are listed on your booking to ensure that the correct linen is provided for your booking.
CANCELLATIONS for stays during Long Weekends, Public Holidays, School Holidays and Local Events must be made more than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date. If cancellation is within 30 days the deposit is forfeited. Cancellations at other times can be made up to 2 days prior to arrival. Cancellation fee is $15.
RECEPTION HOURS are 9am to 5.30pm. If you are arriving outside these times, please contact us during Reception hours to make alternate arrangements for your arrival.
NO SHOWS - Guests who fail to arrive on the designated day, or who arrive after Reception hours and have not made alternate arrangements, will forfeit their deposit. No refund for early departure.
SPECIAL REQUESTS - Including choosing specific site numbers, are on a request basis only and are not guaranteed at the time of booking.
CHECK-IN for ACCOMMODATION AND ENSUITE SITES is from 2pm and from 12pm for all other SITES.
CHECK OUT is 10am. Late check-outs can be arranged at an extra charge where available. NO REFUND IS AVAILABLE FOR EARLY DEPARTURES.
ADULT RATES apply for persons 16 years and over. CHILD RATES for 2-15 years inclusive. No charge under 2 years.
SOCIALLY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR - We reserve the right to eject guests deemed by management to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way; causing damage; disturbing other guests; using unacceptable language or otherwise breaking Park Rules. This includes guests not abiding by the COVID-19 recommended social distancing requirements. No refund will be given. Charges will apply for any excess cleaning, odour removal from accommodation and any damage caused to accommodation or grounds.
SMOKING is not permitted in any of our accommodation.
BIG4 DISCOUNT - BIG4 card, valid on date of arrival and in the guests name must be shown to receive BIG4 Member discount.
PETS are not allowed to accompany guests staying in any of our accommodation. Dogs can accompany guests staying on sites however they are not allowed in any of our facilities or accommodation, please read our pet rules (link here) prior to arrival.
