Hell's Gates

National Parks and Reserves

The dramatically named Hell’s Gates is a high bluff with spectacular views of the coastline north to Double Island Point and south over Alexandria Bay.
Hell's Gates, Noosa National Park, Sunshine Coast
Visit this area during July to November to view migrating whales. The area is home to dolphins and turtles and you’ll often see pied cormorants drying their outstretched wings in a sunny spot on the rocks.

The area is also home to many spectacular birds of prey including Osprey and Sea Eagles and if you’re lucky you may see one tucking into lunch of freshly caught fish.

Caution: Enjoy the scenery in the designated viewing areas as there is no cliff barrier and a 10 metre vertical drop.
