This vast and ecologically rich park includes the entire peninsula, surrounding waters of the Arafura Sea and Van Diemen Gulf, and several nearby islands. Explore a diverse landscape of beaches, dunes, coastal grasslands, mangroves, rainforest patches, swamps, lagoons, coral reefs, sea grass meadows and abundant marine life across this 4,500 square kilometre haven.

Visit the Black Point Cultural Centre to learn about the Aboriginal, Macassan and European histories of the area. Camp at one of two designated campgrounds, and try your luck fishing for mackerel, queenfish, trevally, shark, snapper and other reef species. Don't miss a visit to the eerie ruins of the Victoria Settlement, accessible only by boat.

Access is by air, sea or unsealed 4WD road through Arnhem Land. The road is usually open during the dry season (May to September), depending on rainfall. A park permit is required, and booking ahead is recommended.
