Crooked River flows into the northern end of Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa, a short drive south of the coastal towns of Kiama and Gerringong.
It is a popular spot all year round for swimming, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking - especially at high tide. It's calm waters are also popular with families.
