All cancellations must be made in writing via email to the park directly. Please include your surname, phone number, reservation number, and the cancellation provision under which you are cancelling.

Low Season:

• More than 14 days prior: You will receive a refund, minus a $50 administration fee, or a 12-month credit.
• Less than 14 days prior: No refund or credit will be issued for the first night.

School Holidays, Long Weekends, and Group Bookings:

• More than 1 month prior: You will receive a refund, minus a $50 administration fee (per site), or a 12-month credit.
• Less than 1 month prior: No refund or credit will be issued.

Group bookings are classified as any booking of 5 or more sites or cabins, no matter if they are paid for individually or as a group.

Unfortunately, we WILL NOT REFUND for reasons of late check-in, early check-out, shortening of stay, illness or poor weather while at the resort.

Ballina Beach Nature Resort recommends all guests have travel insurance.

Deposit

A deposit of at least one night is required to secure all bookings. Full payment may be required at the time of booking, depending on the booking type and period between booking and visit.

Balance of payment

The balance of payment is due 30 days before arrival. We will send a reminder email with details of how to pay seven days before your payment is due. The easiest way to make this payment is via our Guest Portal.

• Tariffs, including any additional guest charges, vary seasonally and are subject to change. Rates are based on two guests. Additional guests are welcome, but you must confirm their inclusion prior to arrival and pay any additional fees.
• Credit card payments incur a 1.5% credit card surcharge.

Pets are welcome in this accommodation using their own bedding. If you are wanting to bring your furry friend with you, please notify us as additional fees for your pet applies.

Dogs & Pets

Your socialised dog is welcome all year round, even in our pet-friendly luxury tents. Ballina Beach Nature Resort operates with Ballina Shire Council approval on this basis. The management and control of your dog while in the Shire is your responsibility.

Fee, advance notification & pet limits

You must advise us that you have a pet(s) at the time of booking, there is an extra charge per pet per night in any accommodation, as well as per pet/per night on a site after the first pet on the site. If booking accommodation only book accommodation that states it is pet friendly.

Rules for bringing pets

By bringing your pet with you to our Ballina Beach Nature Resort, you must agree and adhere to the following rules:

• It is expected that dogs are not aggressive, inclined to bark and fully vaccinated.
• Animals must be fully registered and have an identification tag with their name and phone number on a secure collar.
• Animals must be under the effective control of their owner at all times and cannot be left alone at any time.
• Dogs must be on a leash at all times unless you are supervising them in our fenced-off dog park.
• If staying in a pet-friendly accommodation, please bring your dog’s bedding as they are not permitted on any furniture. Failure to comply will result in extra cleaning/damage costs.
• Please ensure you always pick up after your dogs. Doggie bags are provided in the dog park if you did not bring your own.
• The beach in front of us and the river area to the north of Ballina Beach Nature Resort are National Parks. They do not allow animals under any circumstances.
• Dog are not permitted in the Cafe, pool and water park area.
• If your dog cannot comply with any of the above, they will be asked to leave, and you will need to go with them.

From time to time, there are certain areas within Ballina Beach Nature Resort where animals are not allowed due to the feeding of glossy black-cockatoos. These areas will be clearly designated by signage. Furthermore, if we observe glossy black-cockatoos feeding in our Nature Resort, animals are not to be tied to feed trees or trees adjacent to feed trees.

Guests must be aware that, from time to time, Ballina Shire Council conducts fox baiting within the South Ballina Nature Reserve. This is contained to areas where dogs are strictly not allowed. For your dog’s safety, it is vital they do not enter these areas.

Cats and other domesticated animals will only be permitted with prior approval. To protect wildlife, they are only allowed at our Ballina Beach Nature Resort if they are kept in secure cages at all times.

Guests with animals must sign a registration form at or before check-in, part of which confirms they have read and will comply with all the above rules.

If any rule is breached, Ballina Beach Nature Resort Management reserves the right to ask the guest to leave without any refund of unused money or dog bonds.

The Boring-But-Necessary Stuff

We want to ensure your stay at Ballina Beach Nature Resort is safe and enjoyable. Please take a moment to review these Terms & Conditions, including our cancellation policy.

Arrivals & Departures

• Check-in: from 12:00pm for sites and 2:00pm for accommodation.
• If you would like to request early check-in, please call the Resort on the morning of your arrival day to confirm availability. Free early check-in is not available prior to the day of arrival under any circumstances. For guaranteed early arrival, you will be charged 50% of the daily rate.
• Arrival instructions will be emailed to you at the email address you provided at the time of booking.
• Check-out: Check-out is 10:00am. If you would like to request a late check-out, please contact reception on the day prior to your departure.
• Guaranteed early check-in or late check-out will be charged at 50% of the daily rate.

Identification

• A valid form of photo identification will be required at check-in. Forms accepted include a passport, government-issued ID card, or driver’s license.

Specific Accommodation Requests

• While we are happy to receive requests for specific safari tents and campsites, these cannot be guaranteed. If you have made multiple bookings, we cannot guarantee that all accommodation or campsites will be next to each other.

Age Restrictions

• Bookings from persons under the age of 18 years will not be accepted unless accompanied by an adult (over 18 years of age). At least one adult must be present for all accommodation types throughout the stay.

Tariffs

Additional guests are welcome, but you must confirm their inclusion prior to arrival and pay any additional fees. Any extra guests who have not been confirmed or paid for in advance will be asked to leave.

Infants

• Infants (under 2 years of age) incur no extra charge.

Promotions

• If you make any changes to a booking made under a promotion, standard terms and conditions will apply.
• Group bookings are not eligible for promotions. If you are interested in a group booking, please contact us directly.
• Once a booking has been made, promotions cannot be applied retrospectively.

Keys for Accommodation

• A $50 charge will be incurred for any lost or damaged keys.

Bunk Beds (Ages 9+ Only)

• In accordance with Australian safety standards, children under the age of 9 should not use the top bunk or elevated beds.

Guest Behaviour

• Any guest found to compromise the comfort, safety, or security of other guests, staff, or local wildlife will be asked to leave the resort immediately, without a refund.

No Smoking

• Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited in all accommodation, the Café, the pool and water park area, amenities blocks, the shala and the camp kitchen. A $300 cleaning fee applies for any accommodation where smoking is detected, and you may be asked to leave the resort immediately, without a refund.

No Drugs

• The possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Any guest found using or in possession of drugs will be asked to leave immediately, without a refund.

Noise

• To ensure a peaceful environment for all guests, a noise curfew of 10:00 pm is enforced. After this time, no music, shouting, or gatherings are permitted. Guests who breach this curfew will be asked to leave without a refund.

Damage to Property

• Guests are responsible for any damage caused to resort property and will be required to reimburse Ballina Beach Nature Resort for repair or replacement costs.

Pool & Waterpark

• The pool and water park are for resort guest use only.
• Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Proper swimwear must be worn at all times.
• Running, diving, and rough play are not permitted.
• Glass containers and other hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.
• No outside food or beverages are allowed in the pool area—only food and drinks purchased from the Resort’s Café may be consumed.
• Guests swim at their own risk, there is no lifeguard on duty.
• No pets are permitted in the pool and water park area.
• Respectful behaviour towards others is required at all times.

Bathrooms, Toilets, Showers & Laundry

• The resort provides several amenity blocks and laundry facilities for your convenience. Please help us maintain cleanliness for all guests.

Camp Cooking Facilities & Hours

• Our fully equipped camp kitchen is open from 6:00am to 10:00pm and includes BBQs, ovens, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, and a toaster.

Pets

• Well-behaved and socialised dogs are welcome at the resort.
• All dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
• Dogs are not permitted in the cafe, pool and water park area.
• All pets must have current vaccinations.
• Pets must not be left unattended at any time.
• Pets are permitted in pet friendly accommodation only.
• Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Vehicles

• One vehicle per accommodation or campsite is permitted unless prior arrangements are made with management.

Water

• Drinking water at the resort is supplied via a combination of desalination and rain capture. Bore water is used for flushing toilets and is non-potable.

Fires

• Campfires are allowed in designated braziers only and must comply with fire safety regulations.
