Pebbly Beach Clarence Valley

Natural Attractions

Pebbly Beach sits by a small bay north of Station Creek Beach. Getting to this remote beach is as much an adventure as staying there – you’ll need to drive along the beach and cross a saltwater estuary at low tide.
Pebbly Beach. Heaven.
Not a bad place to drop the swag eh? Pebbly Beach.
Northern aspect, Pebbly Beach.
Getting there. Take a turn off the Pacific Highway about half an hour south of Grafton, drive for another half an hour or so along unsealed roads through some very un-Clarence-Valley-esque pine forests, and follow some cryptic handwritten signage until you close in on Station Creek.

Then loop back south a few kilometres onto the beach it would be best if you are in a 4WD with good clearance and maybe a snorkel) then drive north up the beach, back past Station Creek and drive across a river (only on low tide).

Once you’re there, the fun really begins. Settle into a spacious campsite, just metres from the she-oak-lined shore, then start exploring. You’ll find great walking tracks in the area, and the nearby headlands are excellent for whale watching.

True to its name, the beach features ‘pebbly’, gravel-like sand and is a fantastic place for swimming and fishing. One glimpse at the beach through the she-oaks that line the shore, however, tells you all you need to know. What are you waiting for?
