The museum stands out with immersive, hands-on experiences, like the daily Highlights Tour in the Shipwrecks Gallery, where visitors uncover the story of the Batavia. Set within a striking coastal landmark at Batavia Coast Marina, it combines cutting-edge multimedia with artifacts from four legendary Dutch shipwrecks: Batavia, Zuytdorp, Zeewijk, and Gilt Dragon.

The museum lies steps away from the HMAS Sydney II Memorial, Geraldton Town Beach and the lively foreshore, ideal for combining cultural immersion with coastal relaxation. Fully accessible with ground-level entrances, ramps and sensory supports, including Visual Stories and Backpacks developed in consultation with the Autism Association of WA, the facility ensures an inclusive visit.
