Get excited!
We have three new arrivals to introduce to you.
Found in diverse locations, this trio expands the holiday options on offer within the BIG4 network.
It’s time to meet the newbies…
Where: Port Stephens, NSW; 200km north of Sydney.
Park type: Holiday.
Fringed by a mix of beach and bushland, this pretty Anna Bay park sets the scene for a memorable coastal escape within this highly desirable region.
BIG4 Bays has accommodation options galore, including poolside cabins, shaded caravan and camping sites, and even gorgeous retro-style caravans that have been thoughtfully refurbed.
Several pet-friendly cabins are available, and dogs are permitted on sites.
In-park entertainment is led by a palm-fringed swimming pool with waterslide, a seasonal fire pit, and a camp kitchen with a fireplace.
Staple BIG4 park attractions like playgrounds, a Jumping Pillow, and giant chess also feature.
What’s there to do in Port Stephens? It’s all here!
Where: Lightning Ridge, NSW; 715km inland from both Sydney and Brisbane.
Park type: Classic.
Although only a short drive from the town centre, BIG4 Opal is planted within a peaceful bushland setting that imparts a pleasant ‘relaxation on arrival’ vibe.
An assorted cabin range combines with spacious sites for caravanners and campers, including drive-through options.
Those travelling with dogs take note: the park dishes up pet-friendly cabins and sites. As a bonus, doggy daycare is thrown in the mix.
A swimming pool that’s heated year round, three camp kitchens, and fire pits are among the many excellent amenities.
A café, BBQs, and a car-washing bay are other handy additions.
Lightning Ridge is renowned for its Artesian Bore Baths. More here.
Where: Emerald, QLD; 830km northwest of Brisbane.
Park type: Holiday.
The village is positioned just a short stroll to the shores of QLD’s second-largest lake and suits travellers yearning for getaways either relaxing or action-packed.
Lakeview villas are the pick of the various cabins, and the ample shaded sites also include some spots that overlook the water. There’s a cabin that embraces four-legged guests or choose a dog-friendly site.
An on-site bar/café is popular with guests, as is the large swimming pool complete with a waterslide.
Naturally, much of the appeal lies just outside the park’s gates, thanks to the expansive lake that invites aquatic activity aplenty.
The holiday village has kayaks for hire or enjoy swimming or water-skiing. Not surprisingly, anglers are in their absolute element in these surrounds, too.
Several other parks have joined the BIG4 network so far in 2022. If you missed them, discover more below:
