Let’s not muck about. On Adelaide’s doorstep is a wine region that is simply world class.

The Barossa is an Australian icon, and if you’re a wine lover it’s a region you must visit at least once in your lifetime.

Consider these numbers: a 175-year history of winemaking, upwards of 500 wineries, and 80-plus cellar doors. Many are among Australia’s most recognisable names; plenty have been in the same family for generations.

Better yet, the area incorporates both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valley. This gives the Barossa the rare distinction of having both warm and cool-climate growing conditions that sit side by side.

Whether you wish to sip on the signature Barossa shiraz or Eden Valley riesling – or any of the other red and white varieties that this region produces exceptionally well – it’s all done with the greatest of ease.

And we’re proud to introduce one of the newest parks to our network, which enjoys prime position in the Barossa.

What if I don’t like wine? The Barossa has a wonderful collection of galleries and museums, cycling trails are abundant, and the region is a hot-air ballooning hotspot, too. Close by is Barossa Sculpture Park where impressive views are on offer. And if you’d prefer beer over wine, there is a couple of microbreweries worth checking out.
