There's plenty to see and do in Kununurra. Here's how we'd spend 5 days here: Day 1: Start your adventure in Kununurra with a Triple J Tour - one of the most inspiring tours in Western Australia. Daily cruises navigate a massive 55km stretch of river between Lake Argyle (or the Ord River Dam) and Kununurra. From modern and shaded vessels visitors on board witness an ecological system that has developed from the damming of the Ord River at two locations. Day 2: Spend the morning at Mirima National Park, stop for lunch at the Sandalwood Factory set amongst the sandalwood plantations. After lunch, pop to the Hoochery Rum Distillery and sample WA's only rum and finish the day with a trip to Ivanhoe Crossing to admire the view. Day 3: Relax in the morning and then take an afternoon sunset cruise on Lake Argyle. With rugged red cliffs re?ected in the azure blue water, Lake Argyle has become famous for its sunsets. This cruise presents all that you will experience on the Morning Cruise then stays out on the water in an ideal setting to catch the last golden rays of the Kimberley sun. Day 4: Take a scenic drive to Wyndham, an hour from Kununurra, admire the breath taking views of the Five Rivers Lookout and stop in at the Wyndham Museum to uncover the history of the area. Day 5: Finish your time in the region with a spectacular flight over the Bungle Bungles and be truly awed and inspired by this vast, brown land.

Kelly's Knob Lookout
A great place to catch an East Kimberley sunset and it is walking distance from the CBD (be prepared for the steep hill up to the viewing area if walking!). Scenic views over the town and valley.
Purnululu National Park
Famous for the Bungle Bungle Range, this national park is one of the most amazing geological landmarks in Western Australia, and a must see.

If there is only one thing you do when visiting Lake Kununurra then make sure it is a Triple J Tour up the mighty Ord River. It will give you an overview of where Kununurra is! Spectacular scenery is guaranteed and an educational experience that will never be forgotten.
For those with an Australian or International Boating License you can hire a small outboard with a 25hp from Discovery Holiday Parks - Lake Kununurra. Boats are in survey for four passengers.
