Bumbaks Plantation Tours
Tour a real operating Plantation and see how and where your fresh produce is produced. Sample the enormous range of goods at Jo's shop. Excellent for gifts and Christmas shopping - try Jo's banana jam mmmmmm.
History all in one spot - One Mile Jetty, Coffee Pot Train, Lighthouse Museum, Shearing Hall of Fame and HMAS Sydney and HSK Kormoran Displays.
Take a scenic flight, visit blow holes or snorkel at Quobba Station. Carnarvan also offers some great fishing spots including; north beach fishing, south beach fishing, island fishing and jetty fishing. Birdwatching is also a popular pastime, especially in our peaceful BIG4 Plantation Caravan Park.

Try bird watching [the feathered kind] at Rocky Pool, Chinaman's Pool, Bibbawarra Bore, Gascoyne River and the famous Blow Holes [here you will see the bikini variety] only 73kms north of Carnarvon on a bitumen road.

Indian Chief Day Fishing Charters
One day fishing charters available - book through BIG4 Plantation Caravan Park 08 9941 8100 or Carnarvon Visitors Centre. Wonderful fish, hooks baited for you, all the help and support you could wish for plus lunch and a wonderful day's experience. BOOK NOW!
This amazing dish helped put man on the moon in 1969. The museum is now open daily - check local times as it is run by volunteers. Usually 10 - 3 daily for a small cost. Well worth it!
Water Park and Adventure Park
Carnarvon now hosts a free water park "Baxter Park" and just along the fascine [our water way] is Town Beach which is home of the Adventure Park - excellent for the older kids.
The freshest most tantalising fish monger - right here at the small boat harbour - snapper, crabs [blue and brown] scollops, and our FAMOUS Carnarvon Tiger and King Prawns. Chances are if you are eating quality seafood - it came from Carnarvon!
Gascoyne Growers Market
Every Saturday the freshest of local produce. All morning on every Saturday in June, July, August and September and again in December. Yes there are arts and crafts too but its the produce that everyone comes for. Eggs, honey, bananas naturally and every fruit and vegetable known to man [and some new ones too] but the strawberries! Boy they are just too good to be true - but true they are....

Our personal favourite - walking distance from our caravan park and the most divine produce. You wont be disappointed unless you don't go! This is our true gem - the quality of the produce is top of the range and the value for money is unbelievable. Stock up! Try a chocolate covered strawberry, custard apple or banana at Morels Plantation.
Seasonal Fresh Produce Gascoyne Markets in Carnarvon

Buy honey, fresh produce and the most divine strawberries you will every taste. Running May to October every year these diverse markets with everything from eggs to face painting need to be seen to be believed. Just sitting in the winter sun-shine, drinking wonderful fresh coffee and people watching is very relaxing. Several local artists use the opportunity to present their work - a bargain may be found.
