Cathedral Range State Park
The Cathedral Range is a spectacular seven kilometer ridge of sharply upturned sedimentary rock. A variety of walking tracks ranging in difficulty from easy to challenging offer the opportunity to explore the park’s main features and climb the peaks to enjoy views of the forests and farmland in the valley below. Rock climbing and fishing are other popular activities that can be enjoyed in this park.

Lake Eildon
Lake Eildon is a great place for a relaxing holiday, away from the pressures of city living. There is easy access to three national parks and fishing is popular all year round. Lake Eildon is a great place to visit at any time of the year. Each season has its own attractions and contrary to expectations has a very temperate climate.

Lake Mountain
In the White Season, the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is a Winter Wonderland creating magic for everyone. Exhilarating toboggan and tube runs and snow play shenanigans. Experience the exhilaration of the 240 metre Flying Fox, slide down the Tube Run or join in a game of Laser Skirmish. Cross country (nordic) ski trails cover the mountain or why not try something different....... Snow shoeing is an excellent way to explore the 5klm Snow Shoe Trail Loop at Lake Mountain. Only a 40 minute trip from BIG4 Taggerty Holiday Park, this winter wonderland is a must see while staying with us.

Located only 90 minutes drive from Melbourne in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Marysville and surrounds is an ideal destination for lovers of nature and the outdoors. The choices are plentiful, each allowing new memories to be made and new adventures to be shared. A place to leave you feeling connected to the natural surrounds, the people and one another. Whether it be visiting the old school lolly shop or the bakery, sitting by the river or attending the market or Stevenson falls, its a perfect day trip and only 15 minute drive from BIG4 Taggerty Holiday Park.

Alexandra is located near the Goulburn River between Yea and Eildon. The town centre of Alexandra, which is built along the attractive boulevard of Grant Street, features a number of historical buildings that have been preserved and date back to the 1850s when gold was discovered and mined in the area. Today, the town is an important commercial hub for the surrounding villages including Yarck, Acheron, Taggerty and Thornton, offering a selection of shopping facilities.

Alexandra Timber Tramway and Museum
Located at the old railway station and staffed by heritage enthusiasts, the Alexandra timber tramway and museum was formed in 1985 and has built up an impressive collection of narrow gauge steam, diesel and petrol locomotives and assorted rolling stock. It is opened on the second and fourth Sundays of each month and most public holidays from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm
A visit to Buxton Trout and Salmon Farm is a great fun day out for the whole family. Young kids through to the grandparents can all be thrilled by hooking onto one of the Rainbow Trout or Atlantic Salmon in our picturesque natural bush setting. While you are here, why not sample our famous Mountain Ash Smoked Trout, pate and premium hand-milked caviar, have a BBQ with the kids, just feed the fish, and relax. Come and see staff at reception BIG4 to receive your VIP entry for Buxton trout and salmon farm or even take advantage of the catch and cook deal thru Buxton trout farm and Buxton pub.

Healesville Sanctuary
Healesville Sanctuary is one of Australia's most loved tourist attractions and the best place in Victoria to see and interact with native Australian wildlife. Healesville Sanctuary is located on Badger Creek Road in Healesville. Open every day 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Buxton Mountain Bike Park
Buxton Mountain Bike Park is situated within the Black Range State forest, approximately 11km south of Taggerty. There is approximately 20km of purpose built mountain bike single track in the park that can be ridden in a number of different length loops. The trails are ridden in one direction and are signed accordingly. The trails are characterised by gentle climbs and fast flowing descents. When ridden with care, the majority of trails are suitable for riders of all abilities, but when ridden faster, the tracks are more challenging. Trails at Buxton range from Easy to Very Difficult. Buxton MTB Park is now CLOSED FOR WINTER. Re-opening Saturday 19th September 2015
