Pioneer Settlement Museum
The Museum conveys the lives of settlers from 1836 to the development of a 1930 country town. The Mallee's pioneering history is diverse, and the Museum display an extensive collection - including many items of national significance. Relax and unwind while you learn how the settlers lived and entertained in times past. Don't miss your chance to cruise the Mighty Murray aboard the historic Paddleboat Pyap, or experience the museum at night, on the unique Sound & Light Show. Open Daily 9.30-4pm
Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum
Playing an integral part in the allied defense of the South Pacific during WW2, Lake Boga was an ideal stretch of water on which the mighty flying boats could alight. On the original site of the Flying Boat Repair depot, stands an underground Communications bunker which has been transformed into the Flying Boat Museum. It is fully air conditioned and is an educational into our recent history. All types of Flying Boats that were serviced at Lake Boga are represented in the Museum. Open daily.
Observatory and Planetarium
Situated 15km south of Swan Hill at Lake Boga. Observatory night tours are available, viewing is through one of the largest auto GPS guided telescopes in Victoria housed in the special observing dome. Solar observing is available in the daylight hours and is part of the Planetarium daylight viewing. Open Thursday to Sunday, bookings are essential.
Murabit (largest inland market in Australia) - 1st Saturday of the month, 45km south east of Swan Hill. Swan Hill Rotary Club - 3rd Sunday of the month, Railway Station car park. Nyah Lions Club - 2nd Saturday of the month, 24km north of Swan Hill at Nyah Trotting complex.
Murray Downs Golf Club
Ranked the undisputed Number 1 course along the Murray River by the leading golf publications, Murray Downs is the site of one of the most acclaimed and affordable golf destinations in Australia. Olson Pheasant Farm
In the heart of the Mallee wheatland 25 minutes North West of Swan Hill, thousands of Pheasants, Guinea Fowl and Partridge are reared for restaurants throughout Australia. Open daily10-4pm.
Swan Hill Speedway
Swan Hill Speedway has events throughout the year. Trucks, Rods, Juniors, Sprint Cars
20 km north of Swan Hill in the Viniefera & Nyah forests, red gum & box trees line the Murray River. In this picturesque area you will also find Aboriginal canoe trees, cooking mounds and burial grounds.
Starting at Riverside Park meandering along the banks of the Murray River is a 4.5 km walk.
Swan Hill Rotary Club Market - 3rd Sunday of the Month
Looking for a bargain or unique treasure, then a visit to the Swan Hill Rotary Club Market is a must to do while you are in the Swan Hill region. The Swan Hill Rotary Club Market is held on the third Sunday of the month at the Swan Hill Railway Car Park. There are around 30 stalls selling bric a brac, plants, produce, assorted goods, books, craft, clothes, local produce and much much more. A coin donation is appreciated.

Swan Hill Region Food & Wine Festival

Part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, this event will be three days of festivities, tastings, entertainment and food and wine. The highlight will be a degustation dinner held in the main street of the Pioneer Settlement, the historic buildings will be lit up creating a truly unique setting.
Swan Hill Racing Carnival

Three days of horse racing and entertainment. The Swan Hill Jockey Club welcomes you to attend our fantastic facilities and join in celebrating our 11 race dates for the 2016-2017 season. With feature events including the Murray Mallee Winter Series Racing, The Bottle-O Christmas Party Races and, of course, the famous Murray Downs Golf & Country Club Swan Hill June Racing Carnival, we will get your heart racing!
Port 2 Port Cycle

Watch the riders from the Port to Port cycling tour arrive in Swan Hill on the Saturday night! The fun ride leaves the Port of Mildura 7.00am on the Saturday. It will finish at the Port of Echuca at 3.00pm on the Sunday. This year's ride will again head south on the Calder Highway to Hattah, then east through the Kulkyne National Park to Wemen, Boundary Bend, and on to the Port of Swan Hill for overnight celebrations. Sunday's ride follows the Murray Valley Highway to Kerang, Cohuna and a grand finish in Echuca where riders will again get to enjoy a complimentary massage.

Massive Murray Paddle

Join in or Watch the finish of the iconic Murray Marathon which is one of the world's longest annual canoe races, covering a distance of 404km over 5 days. The Massive Murray Paddle is an amazing 5 day paddling adventure race, that raises funds to assist local community-driven programs.
