Pioneer Settlement Museum
The Museum conveys the lives of settlers from 1836 to the development of a 1930 country town. The Mallee's pioneering history is diverse, and the Museum display an extensive collection - including many items of national significance. Relax and unwind while you learn how the settlers lived and entertained in times past. Don't miss your chance to cruise the Mighty Murray aboard the historic Paddleboat Pyap, or experience the museum at night, on the unique Sound & Light Show. Open Daily 9.30-4pm
Lake Boga Flying Boat Museum
Playing an integral part in the allied defense of the South Pacific during WW2, Lake Boga was an ideal stretch of water on which the mighty flying boats could alight. On the original site of the Flying Boat Repair depot, stands an underground Communications bunker which has been transformed into the Flying Boat Museum. It is fully air conditioned and is an educational into our recent history. All types of Flying Boats that were serviced at Lake Boga are represented in the Museum. Open daily.
Observatory and Planetarium
Situated 15km south of Swan Hill at Lake Boga. Observatory night tours are available, viewing is through one of the largest auto GPS guided telescopes in Victoria housed in the special observing dome. Solar observing is available in the daylight hours and is part of the Planetarium daylight viewing. Open Thursday to Sunday, bookings are essential.
Ride the Paddle Steamer Pyap
No visit to Swan Hill is complete without a cruise aboard the PS Pyap as it winds its way along this mighty river. The hour-long cruise departs from the wharf at the Pioneer Settlement and travels up river past the historic Murray Downs Homestead. Kick back and listen as the captain narrates the riverboat history, the influence this form of transport had on early settlement along the river and details about the natural environment.
Live Music at Swan Hill Club
The Club is plays home to live music in Swan Hill with live entertainment every Friday night of the year, from local talent to national and international talent. Sunday sessions run in the warmer summer months with an afternoon of live music in the popular beer garden.
Lakeside Trail Cycling & Walking Path
Situated just south of Swan Hill, prepare for a day of discovery and adventure along the lake foreshore at Lake Boga. The 4.5km all purpose seal path around Lakeside Drive provides the safe environment for the whole family to enjoy.
Swan Hill has an abundance of Local Markets each month. Swan Hill is in the heart of the Murray food bowl and Swan Hill’s fresh produce can be found plated up throughout the region at the many regular markets.
Murray Downs Golf Club

The challenge of the Murray downs championship rated 18 hole golf course is exhilarating and will seriously test all facets of your game.
Olson Pheasant Farm
In the heart of the Mallee wheatland 25 minutes North West of Swan Hill, thousands of Pheasants, Guinea Fowl and Partridge are reared for restaurants throughout Australia. Open daily10-4pm.

The Riverfront Cycling & Walking Trail
From the back door of our park wander down along the river to the river walk starting at Riverside Park meandering along the banks of the Murray River is a 4.5 km walk.
20 km north of Swan Hill in the Viniefera & Nyah forests, red gum & box trees line the Murray River. In this picturesque area you will also find Aboriginal canoe trees, cooking mounds and burial grounds.

Swan Hill Region Food & Wine Festival
Part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, this event will be three days of festivities, tastings, entertainment and food and wine. The highlight will be a degustation dinner held in the main street of the Pioneer Settlement, the historic buildings will be lit up creating a truly unique setting.
Robinvale Euston 80 Ski Race
For ski racing action at its best that the whole family can enjoy, the Robinvale Euston 80 Ski Race is the event for you. Held in March each year no other race in Victoria provides the atmosphere and excitement that Robinvale Euston 80 Ski Race provides. The Robinvale Euston 80 Ski Race is one of Victoria's biggest ski races and has become an integral part of the Robinvale Euston event calender. This gruelling race, on the mighty Murray River, attracts around 300 competitors each year - with boat travelling in excess of 300 kilometres per hour.
Swan Hill Harmony Day - Annual Event
Since 2010, this annual March event has continued to grow and prosper, with over 2,500 people now coming together to share food, performances, and stories of the many cultures that make up the region. Some of the highlights of the day include a cultural fashion parade, a fantastic experiential play area for the kids, over a dozen different cuisines from local cooks in the Harmony Kitchen and performances from choirs, dance groups and musicians from the local area. The colour and life this event brings to Riverside Park makes it such a unique and wonderful experience for the whole family to enjoy. Save the date, you will not be disappointed.
Lake Boga Yacht Club Easter Regatta
There is no better sight then watching a competitive yacht race, with a full mask of sail, travelling over the pristine waters of Lake Boga. This is exactly what you can see over the Easter holiday period at Lake Boga. This regatta is one of the biggest inland regattas in Australia attracting hundreds of yacht enthusiastic form all over Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland every year. This is due to the first class camping facilities with lush grass, established trees, right on the edge of the lake foreshore and adjacent to the Yacht Club.
Swan Hill Racing Carnival
Held on the June long weekend this is three days of horse racing and entertainment. The Swan Hill Jockey Club welcomes you to attend our fantastic facilities. With feature events including the Murray Mallee Winter Series Racing, The Bottle-O Christmas Party Races and, of course, the famous Murray Downs Golf & Country Club Swan Hill June Racing Carnival, we will get your heart racing!

The Swan Hill Show is held over two days in October and is filled with fun and entertainment!
Massive Murray Paddle
Held every November join in or watch the finish of the iconic Murray Marathon which is one of the world's longest annual canoe races, covering a distance of 404km over 5 days. The Massive Murray Paddle is an amazing 5 day paddling adventure race, that raises funds to assist local community-driven programs.
SES Duck Race
Every new year's day at 2pm in Riverside Park, you can sponsor a duck for $5 or just watch the fun while raising much needed funds for the local SES.
Swan Hill New Years Eve Fireworks & Entertainment
Celebrate the new year in style at the Swan Hill New Years Eve celebrations at Riverside Park. This community event has it all, entertainment for the kids, local and international bands, food and drinks, family fireworks as well as the famous midnight fireworks display. There is simply no better place to see in the new year.
