Historical Culture Centre " The Beginning Place ". Block 19 pays an emotive tribute to the 320,000 predominately non english speaking immigrants who passed through these modal barracks.

Karrs Reef Goldmine
Take a 15 minute drive to the historic Karrs Reef Goldmine in Yackandandah and take a guided tour through a 150 metre hand dug tunnel, see the gold ore truck and track in working order hear a commentary on the mine's history. Tour approx 1hour and 30 mins. Suitable for all ages - No lifts - No steps or steep climbs.

Wodonga Pathways
Enjoy the healthy outdoors of Wodonga Pathways. With more than 45kms of connecting shared cycle, walking pathways. With picnic areas, toilets and playgrounds are dotted along the way. Take the time to visit the native birdlife and pristine environment of the wetlands in Les Stone Park. Along the way check out the Wodonga Skate Park, have a go yourself or just watch the young experts do their thing.

Wonga Wetlands
Take a 10km drive to the floodplain of the Murray River. Wonga Wetlands is a stunning example of environmental management. Since the creation of Wonga Wetlands more than 130 bird species have been recorded, several of which have never been seen in the region before. As well as being a must see destination the Wetlands is also a major multi-level educational resource. The Aquatic Environmental Education Centre attracts hundreds of school, TAFE and University students and interested groups.

Monument Hill War Memorial
A must see because the view of the surrounding district in all directions is nothing short of magnificent. Opened on Anzac Day 1925 the Monument on the Hill was erected to memorialize soldiers fallen in combat. One of the few towers erected as a World War I Memorial, it is regarded as one of the best known in Australia. The significance of the site is further enhanced by the presence of the Memorial Bowl nearby, which was erected as a World War II memorial.
