- Eldridge Estate
is located 90 minutes south of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula. The ‘Peninsula’ has long been a playground for the people of Melbourne, yet Red Hill remains a peaceful rural community. Our vineyard is situated on Arthurs Seat Road, between the Red Hill turn-off and Red Hill shops. The entrance to the Estate is past the Showgrounds (site of the famous Red Hill market) and 100 metres East of Andrews Lane. Look for our flag that says we’re open!
Wendy and David bought the vineyard in 1995 and have since transformed it with a continual program of grafting, canopy management and replanting (500 vines).
In the 30th edition of Australian Wine Vintages, Robert Geddes MW, listed the Eldridge Estate MV6 Pinot Noir and the Eldridge Estate Chardonnay are listed as gold star wines. The Australian Wine Vintages gold stars are an accolade of the winemaker’s ability to achieve consistently high standards of fruit, flavour complexity and freshness. Since that edition Eldridge has always received high ratings.

Start your Mornington Peninsula wine adventure with us. Just 50 minutes from Melbourne and first stop off the Peninsula Link freeway at Moorooduc you’ll find Stumpy Gully Vineyard. The Zantvoort family planted its first vines here in 1989. While many other wineries in the region have since been bought out by larger companies, the Zantvoorts have kept it in the family. They believe that doing things their way makes for more memorable wines. Wines with a story. Good value wines that friends ask about when you open a bottle or two at dinner or a BBQ. And wines – they don’t mind saying – that win awards. Drop in and say hello at Stumpy Gully this weekend.
