Still plenty of Silver and King George Whiting taking pipi and worm around Fraser Island. The upper reaches on the North Arm for Bream taking cranka crab. Also give the jetties a try. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for “Pinkies” with water temperature at 19O. “Gummies” and Flathead are closer to the beach. Some Swordfish are still about.
The power lines, Black Fellows Arm and the Glass House for Flathead and “Pinkies” taking pilchard. Long Point and Burnt Bridge for Bream taking peeled prawn.
Garfish are through-out the river system biting on worm. The back water for Bream and around the football ground at the caravan park. Best bait being spider crab and prawn. Also try the “cut” and down to the river mouth.
From Marshall’s Flats, the river mouth and the “snags” for Bream. Preferred bait being local prawn.
The little cliffs, Thumb Point and into Jones Bay for Bream taking local prawn. Also try Nicholson Reef on soft plastics.
Bream are still about Box’s Creek and Chinaman’s Creek with worm proving best results. King George Whiting are still to be had in the Nungurger area on pipi and worm.
Bream are active around town jetties with best results using prawn. There are still a few Kingfish taking soft plastics and hard body lures.
The “wood pile”, Hollands Landing and into Jones Bay and heading towards Tom’s Creek for Bream and the shallows for Flathead. Best results with white bait and prawn. Tom’s Creek around the jetties on dark for Bream on spider crab.
Some Bream about the system. Flathead are around French’s Narrow and sand flats chasing prawn. Surf for Salmon pilchard and poppers. Offshore is fishing well with a mixed bag.
The lake is best for Bream using local prawn, worm and soft plastics for best results. The entrance is open.
Pelican Point for Flathead on pilchards. At the football ground for “Pinkies”. From the river mouth to Furnell Landing for Bream taking prawn as preferred bait.
Bottom Lake for Flathead taking lures in the early morning for best results. Bream are to be found in Top Lake taking yabbies. Harrison Channel for Luderick taking weed.
Omeo High Country
At last some rain has hit the rivers, as a result Trout are about. Best results using all baits.
