G&T Fishing School
About the Owner: A local to the Townsville Region, Graham Knight has over 30 years experience over a wide variety of aspects within the fishing industry. Through this varied experience, Graham has developed an extensive knowledge and a better understanding of how lures work and how they can be manipulated to give you better results chasing that target species. These techniques have proven very successful for Graham over the years and having participated in his fair share of fishing competitions, including sportfishing and gamefishing plus various line class competitions, he has certainly been able to put his techniques to the test.

Jezzine Barracks and Kissing Point
The Jezzine Barracks/Kissing Point/Garabarra redevelopment has been a $40 million partnership between Townsville City Council, the Queensland Government & the Australian Government. The 15 hectare precinct commemorates the military & Aboriginal heritage of the Kissing Point headland through 32 specially commissioned public artworks, extensive interpretive signage & restoration of significant elements of the Kissing Point Fort Complex. Large scale landscaping works have also opened up the area

Castle Hill

Town Common Conservation Park and Walks
Townsville Town Common Conservation Park is a bird watchers paradise where you will see the likes of magpies, geese, brolgas, finches, wrens & cisticolas. The park also has a number of walking tracks from easy to difficult; - Forest Walk (1.9km return) - Bald Rock Car Park to Mount Marlow (2.5km one way) - Bald Rock Car Park to Pallarenda (4.5km one way) - Pallarenda to Tergoora Rock (2km return) - Shelly Beach Circuit Track (9km return)

Hervey's Range Heritage Tea Rooms
Located at the top of Hervey's Range, the former Eureka Hotel, built in 1865 has been loving restored & opened to the public. It remains one of the few slab sided inns left standing in Australia. Once a welcome site to weary travellers with their horse & bullocks teams en route to the goldfields, it stands on its original site. Everyone has the opportunity to not only experience the oldest building in North Queensland but peace & tranquility of the country, great food, coffee & a warm welcome.
