Cania Gorge National Park
Cania Gorge National Park is about 225 km west of Bundaberg and can be reached via Cania Road, which branches off the Burnett Highway 12 km north of Monto (or 82 km south of Biloela). Travel through Moonford for another 13 km to the main picnic area. If travelling from Brisbane the park is 500 km north-west.
Lake Cania is situated north of the Cania Gorge National Park about 11 kilometres from the Cania Gorge Picnic Area. The lake sits on the banks of Three Moon Creek which is a tributary of the Burnett River. The lake has a capacity of 88,500 megaliters and is constructed from earth and rockfill that reach over 44 metres above the level of the dam. Great fishing and other water sports with boat ramp access, picnic areas, Public conveniences, and BIG4 Cania Gorge just down the road.

Cania Dam is 37km North West of Monto, and stocked with yellowbelly, silver perch and Australian bass.With all the comforts you need, long double lane cemented ramp, close ammenities, barbeques and picnic areas as well as your choice of several fantastic nearby accommodation options (no camping at the dam). Its easy to see why Cania Dam is the favourite qld dam for fishing, as voted by our basstasstic fishing club members!
