Shoal Bay Sportfishing Tours
Shoal Bay is Darwin's premier barramundi and mud crab location and Shoal Bay SportFishing Tours have tours on the high tide, low tide, for mud crabs, and to Vernon Island. All of these tours can produce remarkable results and memories to last a lifetime. All tackle, crab pots and equipment are provided and on board there is ice, bottled water and softdrinks available for purchase. You will need to provide your own food and alcohol and it's advisable to bring your own ice box, esky or chilli bin to take your catch home in. Territory Wildlife Park
With hundreds of displays on the native flora and fauna of the Top End of Australia, this attraction is put together by the Parks and Wildlife of the NT and should not be missed. Located next to Berry Springs we recommend you take the bathers and enjoy a relaxing swim before returning to our Park.
Berry Springs Nature Park
This is where you can swim! Berry Springs Nature Park provides an attractive area close to Darwin for recreational activities, and also provides a refreshing swimming spot. Wildlife is abundant and take along some goggles so when you're swimming in the pools you can see many small native fish and other aquatic life that live in the clear pools. Turn west of the Stuart Highway about 47km south of Darwin and the Park is 10km along the Cox Peninsula Road. Open from 8am to 6.30pm daily.
Parap Village Markets
Every Saturday morning the Parap Village Markets, just a 5 minute drive from Darwin's CBD, entice and delight locals and visitors with their bustling colourful life and wares. These markets include diverse stallholders selling their wares under shady trees and umbrellas including arts, crafts, fresh produce, exotic and local dishes, flavours of Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and Indonesia. You can choose from crepes, zesty salads, fruit smoothies, ice treats for the kids and gourmet coffee! The markets are on every Saturday from 8am to 2pm within the Parap Village Shopping Centre on Parap Road.
The Deckchair Cinema is a majestic open air cinema situated on the gorgeous Darwin Harbour. The cinema operates seven nights a week from mid April to mid November, screening a diverse range of Australian, foreign, popular, classic and family friendly films. Gates open nightly at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm film under star studded skies. Come down early, bring a picnic or grab a drink or snack from their fully licensed kiosk, bringing your own alcohol is not allowed. The Deckchair Cinema is easily accessible via a well lit picturesque walkway from the city esplanade and there is plenty of parking and bike racks available on site. Programs are available from tourist outlets or on their website.
