BIG4 MacDonnell Range Holiday Park

Explore the Great Outdoors

From stunning sunsets over Alice to swimming, biking and hiking, Alice Springs has something for everyone to do.

You can have a jampacked day of exploring along the Eastern MacDonnell Ranges out to Ross River Resort for a long lunch and a swim, followed by a walk around N'Dhala Gorge. Another day can be spent on a leisurely drive out to Glen Helen Gorge, to relax by the water and stop in at Ellery Creek Big Hole for a dip in our "bottomless" waterhole, before stopping at Simpsons Gap and Historical Flynns Grave on the way home. For the more energetic, there are hundreds of kilometres of mountain bike tracks around Alice Springs, all well marked, waiting to be explored. Or how about trekking the iconic Larapinta Trail? A 223 kilometre walk through the Western MacDonnell ranges from the Alice Springs Telegraph Station to Mount Sonder. There are 12 sections which you can join or leave at any of the trailheads or challenge yourself to hike the whole trail.
