Deniliquin has some superb attractions to see and places to visit during your stay here including mountain bike trails, a superb water tower mural, local walks along the banks of the Edward River, and canoe and kayak trails.

  • Start at the Deniliquin Visitor Information Centre in George Street where the tourist officers and wonderful volunteers will be only too willing to provide you with all the information that you need.
  • The Peppin Heritage Centre is part of the Visitor Information Centre. Throughout the year the centre has a variety of very interesting travelling and local exhibitions. There's also a heritage museum, an old classroom, and the original Deniliquin Gaol.
  • Right next door to the Peppin Heritage Centre is the famous Mosaic Ute where volunteers painstakingly covered a ute with tiny mosaic tiles - a spectacular sight to see.
  • Take a look at the Deniliquin Water Tower mural in Whitelock Street featuring a giant-size kookaburra and campfire mural - it's incredible to walk around!
  • Nearby in Charlotte Street is the iconic Deni Ute which everyone needs to stand under and get a photograph at least once in their life!
  • Wind your way through the Murray Valley Regional Park on a thrilling network of mountain bike trails.
  • You can also take a walk or ride your bike and follow the Deniliquin Town Walk which goes past historic buildings and sites around town. The friendly team at the Deniliquin Information Centre will let you know the route.
  • The Beach to Beach Riverside Walk follows the path along the banks of the Edward River from McLean Beach past magnificent red gum trees and sandy beaches into the Murray Valley Regional Park.
  • Take yourself on an adventure by kayaking or canoeing the Edward River which is ideal for paddlers of all age groups and experience levels.
  • Marvel at the birdlife at the Reed Beds Bird Hide at Mathoura. You won't grow tired of this very pretty place.
  • The Lawson Syphon, 496 Lawson Syphon Road, is a remarkable engineering structure that diverts the canal under the river and delivers water to the agricultural region west of the area.
  • The Deniliquin & District Historical Society Museum at 3 Macauley Street, has an extensive display and historical record of Deniliquin and its people and is housed in a glorious old house that was once the original home of the Deniliquin Police Inspector.
