Longworth & Memorial Parks
Longworth Park and Memorial parks are situated just 500m from BIG4 Karuah Jetty. There's a netted swimming area, wrap-around jetty, children's play ground as well as BBQ's and picnic areas all on the riverfront with the historic Karuah Bridge in the back-drop
The Karuah Centre is Karuah's local visitor information centre and community hub. Here you'll find intriguing pre-loved nick nacks, hand made art and crafts as well as local and regional information.
Karuah Historical Walk
Karuah is steeped in history, dating back to early European settlement and the boom of the timber trade. There are still original buildings and significant sites located around the town with information points for visitors to discover. Call in to the Karuah Centre for all the info on our history points in town and much more!
Karuah RSL & Bowling Club
Karuah RSL & Bowling Club is just a short stroll from the park or you can give them a call for a courtesy pick up from our park! Bingo, Raffles and Live entertainment is on offer regularly - visit their website to check what's on this week! Bridgeview Restaurant serves a delectable array of modern Chinese and Australian meals. Watch out for their specials board and seafood buffet on Tuesdays!
Karuah is still home to many Oyster leases and is a hub for fresh locally grown oysters. Some of our local oyster farmers sell direct to the public and are within an easy walk or drive to their door!
Medowie Macadamia Farm & Cafe
Just a short 20 minute drive to the Medowie Macadamia Farm & Cafe and you'll be in foodie heaven! Home made delicious cakes, tarts and sweets. Locally grown Macadamia nuts and all sorts of Macadamia infused products such as soaps, cooking oils, cosmetics and gourmet delights! Open daily from 9am to 5pm!

Gloucester Platypus Festival

Come and celebrate one of the world's most unique creatures, the Platypus! These monotremes play an integral role in the river ecosystems of the Barrington Tops National Park and surrounding forests. Imagine a duck's bill, otter-ish body, beaver-style tail, webbed feet and knowing they lay eggs it sure does take a bit of convincing that they're still very cute! Once you've spotted a Platypus we're confident you'll agree that there isn't another animal on our planet quite like it!
