Butterfly House
Stroll among hundreds of live butterflies in our tranquil all weather rainforest. The friendly guides will inform you of the secrets of the life cycle of the butterfly and reveal well hidden eggs as well as show you caterpillars. Also spend some time solving the maze within the maze or conquer the walled maze and then try to solve the colour maze or just have a cuppa in the tea house.

Advanced Cheesemaking Workshop

Cycling
With most pathways in the Emerald Beach area limited to walking, there are a few cycle routes located south of Coffs Harbour that have been constructed by the Coffs Harbour City Council.

Emerald Beach

Sealy Lookout
Drive south towards Coffs Harbour from Emerald Beach to the Bruxner Park Flora Reserve in Orara East State Forest. From the lookout you can see as far south as Toormina and as far north as Sapphire Beach. Entry is free and open to vehicles. There are rainforest walks ranging from 1 to 3 hours. Picnic tables and toilets are available.

Tabatinga

Whale Watching
Every year from late May, thousands of humpback whales migrate north along the east coast of Australia. A number of whale-watching tours operate from the Coffs Harbour Marina - or head to one of the coastal headlands which also offer good viewing points.

Big Banana
Coffs Harbour's and indeed Australia's most famous icon would have to be THE BIG BANANA. This giant structure located just north of Coffs Harbour on the Pacific Highway, 565 kilometres north of Sydney and 450 kilometres south of Brisbane is probably the most well known "Big Thing" in Australia. Over the last 40 years the Big Banana has grown into one of The Coffs Coasts most recognised tourist attractions with fun rides, educational tours and shows, recreational facilities and a fantastic selection of food and gift products. The Big Banana has “something for everyone”. Thrill seekers are catered for at The Big Banana - a half kilometre downhill TOBOGGAN RIDE - guaranteed adrenalin rush and fun for all the family. Ice Skating is also available at the BIG BANANA ICE RINK and The world of Bananas interactive educational experience and plantation tour is fun and interesting for all ages. Horse Riding at Valery Trails
Offers horse experiences for all ages & skill levels. Over 75 horses that are well disciplined and suitable for beginners or experienced rides. Trail rides for beginners to advanced are available everyday. Located south of Coffs Harbour in the beautiful Pine Creek Forest and Bongil Bongil National Park.
