Fishing, Swimming and Surfing
Easts Beach has it all. But for the more experienced surfer, Kiama's surf beach is ideal. For the keen fisher-person, off the rocks on the beach here or in at Kiama's harbour. Swimming sites are in abundance here at Easts Beach or in town. Kiama has the beautiful rock pool to enjoy some serious laps.
Scenic Bike and Walking Tracks
What a way to walk or ride up an appetite from Easts Beach. On foot or by wheels you either take the route through a couple of streets before entering a lovely little oasis the locals call 'The Reserve'. From there its plain sailing along the coast right up to the big blow hole, down past the harbour and into town for a lovely brunch at many of the fabulous eateries. The advantage of walking is that you can head right from Easts Beach along the coast, the view is fabulous.
Take Saddleback Road for a quick but brilliant view of Kiama and the coastline, or Jamberoo Mountain Road to reach the top for the most fantastic views around. Kangaroo Valley has the charm of yester-year, not to mention the lovely trip to Berry, where you'll be airing your wallet to pick up some unique momentos from the many craft and antique stores. The Grand Pacific Drive promises some of the most spectacular views of the coastline in NSW and you have to drive along the Seacliffe Bridge.
The infamous big Blowhole is best when the seas run from the south east, but from Easts Beach you can enjoy a quick walk around the northern headland to the Little Blowhole. This little gem displays a wonderful show & you can even walk up to it. You can't miss Kiama's Blowholes, it's mandatory to include photos of these in your travel album.

Indoor aquatic & gym centre
Kiama Leisure Centre has extensive facilities to entertain the whole family. With the 25 indoor heated pool, childrens & toddlers pools, spa, sauna, fully equipped gym & many fittness classes to choose from.
The Spring Creek Bird Hide & Wetlands is located a couple of minutes out of Kiama. This rehabilitated wetlands provide a special habitat for cormorants, chicks, moorhens, coots, swans Golden-headed Cisticola, Black-fronted Dotterel, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike & Mistletoebird, just to name a few. There is an observation hide assisting the bird lover to view the birds at close range. Barren Grounds Nature Reserve is an approx. 25min drive from Kiama. For the walker & bird watcher, this is paradise & proudly home to the rare Ground Parrot. Minnamurra Rainforest is also approx. 25mins drive from Kiama. This wonderful rainforest is home to lyrebirds, whipbirds , yellow robins & more. Jerrara Creek Dam, approx. 20mins from Kiama offers some good sightings of Satin Bowerbird, Eastern Spinebill, Scarlet Honeyeater, Yellow-rumped Thornbill & Musk Ducks
Kiama Coastal Walk
The best way to experience the natural beauty around Kiama is on foot. Beginning at Minnamurra, this spectacular 22 km weaves past headlands, rivers and beaches to Blowhole Point, before pressing on towards the beautiful bays and beaches around Little Blowhole and the rolling escarpments of Gerringong. The Kiama Coast Walk is a mix of sealed pathways, beaches and grassed tracks and is suitable for most levels of fitness.
Whale & Dolphin watching
You can be lucky & spot a lovely display courtesy of the whales & dolphins here at Easts Beach, or there are fantastic cruises, ask for information at our Reception or Kiama's Visitors Centre.
Rainforests & Waterfalls
Experience the magnificence of the Minnamurra Rainforest by the 1.6km elevated boardwalk & than a further paved walk of 2.6kms to view the rainforest canopy & gorge carved by Minnamurra Rivulet. Magnificent Red Cedars & Strangler Figs are some of the native species in abundance in this area. The Carrington Falls is a spectacular waterfall that drops 50m into Kangaroo Valley. Walking tracks access several lookouts including a track for the disabled. The loop walk takes approx 25 mins promising impressing sights. Nellies Glen, on top of the falls is a fantastic place to wallow in the naturally carved water pools on a hot summers day.
Music in the Park

Kiama Council together with Kiama Jazz & Blues will be presenting regular monthly music in Hindmarsh Park from 1.30 - 3.30pm, on the first Sunday of each month. Presenting local quality musicians in a variety of genres including jazz, blues, folk, swing and rock.
Kiama Arts Trail

The Kiama Arts Trail takes you through some of the most picturesque countryside in Australia, where you can visit award winning artists' studios, galleries and cafes. Entry to each of the venues is free. With a range of artwork and a wide variety of techniques, such as drawings, paintings, photos, prints and sculpture, you are sure to enjoy following the trail from Albion Park through Kiama and down to Foxground. Visit artists at work and take a peek into their studios, see demonstrations, enjoy galleries, taste test the cafes.
Kiama Seaside Markets

Kiama Seaside Markets are held on the 3rd Sunday of every month from 9am to 3pm at Black Beach Kiama. Spend the day browsing through the popular seaside craft market. Inspect the array of country craft, artisan and antique ware on display as well as bric-a-brac, collectibles, plants and beautiful homemade items.

Kiama Makers and Growers Markets

Kiama Makers and Growers Markets are held on the 4th Saturday of every month from 8am to 1pm. Just the place for a beach-side taste test! Stock up on fresh fruit and veggies, herbs, seedlings, eggs, bread and bagels, honey, jams lemon butter, chilli sauces, homemade cakes, peanut brittle, fudge and slices, muffins, local wines, juices, homemade soap and skin care. Berry Markets are held on the 1st Sunday of the month at Berry Showground and is open to the public from 8am till 2.30pm. Entry is free. Berry Country Fair has approximately 200 stalls selling handmade/hand produced products, arts and crafts, locally grown vegetables and produce, collectables, books, plants, leather goods, clothing and many other interesting stalls to browse. Animal farm for the children and free entertainment throughout the market.
Art in the Park

Hindmarsh Parks 'Art in the Park' showcases local works created by local artists once a month. Artists are on hand working on new paintings and are available to answer questions and explain their paintings. Art available for viewing from 8.30am.
Illawarra Fly Sunrise Tour

Rise early for this unique sunrise rain forest experience with a spectacular sunrise guided tour. Take advantage of the beautiful morning light the sun casts over the landscape as it rises – truly magic. Greet the birds and local wildlife whilst taking in the sweeping panoramic sunrise views over the forest. Guests are greeted with coffee on arrival and are rewarded with a full hot breakfast upon return to Cafe 106 at the Illawarra Fly Visitors Centre. Sunrise guided tours take place on the 2nd Saturday of every month 6am-9am and must be booked in advance.Numbers are limited and bookings are essential. Sunrise guided tours cost $65 per person, including breakfast, and a 10% discount is offered to groups of ten or more.
Kiama Weekly Farmers Market - Every Wednesday
