A short ten minute drive from Harrington is historic Crowdy Head. The seaside village comprises of both a North and a South beach.

The Northern side is a family friendly, dog friendly beach with Surf Club, shower and toilet amenities, picnic tables and cafe. During the summer months, it’s patrolled by members of the local Surf Life Saving Club. It’s popular with kite surfers, joggers, body boarders and walkers. Just over 1km down the beach on a very low tide you can find remnants of the 1888 shipwreck SS Emu.

The beach has 4WD access available but remember to pick up a permit before you start making tracks from the local bait and tackle store on Beach St in Harrington.
