Thank you for helping us raise more than $20,000 for Camp Quality
Although Camp and Care is over for another year, you can enjoy a night under the stars at any time. With 180 BIG4 Holiday Parks scattered throughout the country, we give you ample chance to enjoy this popular activity. Camping is a fun, economical means of getting away with the family and enjoying the chance to connect. Isn’t it time you started planning your next camping adventure?
On Saturday 7 November, superheroes of all shapes and sizes collided at 76 BIG4 Holiday Parks across Australia as part of BIG4’s annual Camp & Care charity event, held in partnership with children’s cancer charity Camp Quality. The event helped to raise awareness and funds for the more than 600 children aged 0-13 years old – the real ‘hidden heroes’ – who are diagnosed with cancer each year in Australia.
As part of Camp & Care, campers across the country came dressed as their favourite superhero and took part in a variety of super activities, games, and entertainment, helping raise over $17,500 that went directly to Camp Quality to help improve the lives of children living with cancer.
Special thanks go to Camp & Care’s sponsors Turu, Australia’s premier holiday accommodation booking site; Rid, Australia’s iconic medicated insect repellent; and Anaconda, Australia's largest camping superstore.
Celebrities, including Hi-5’s Ainsley Melham, singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell, MTV VJ Krit, Australian boy band Brothers3 and Channel 10 host Jen Adams also helped raise awareness for Camp Quality by sharing their personal ‘hidden hero’ on social media with the hashtag #myhiddenhero.
