Let me declare my bias towards Victoria, for I am a very proud Victorian.
Victoria is home to some of the most stunning coastline, bushland, and national parks in the country.
The list of places to visit is endless. And as a family, we are always searching for child-friendly holiday parks where we can base ourselves and explore from there. Happy kids equal relaxed parents!
With that in mind, my top five child-friendly holiday parks in Victoria are...
With a backdrop of imposing sandstone boulders and craggy peaks of majestic Grampians National Park, NRMA Halls Gap Holiday Park sure has an enviable location.
Then there's the child-pleasing sight of bouncing kangaroos each morning and afternoon, as well as the crisp smell of gum trees and an overwhelming calling to put on your trekking boots!
The park is just a couple of minutes' walk from town in a region that has so much to keep kids occupied, including exploring myriad walking trails. But the extraordinary amount of things that are on offer at the park must be noted for all kids, big and small.

Every time we have been to BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Phillip Island we have found ourselves excitedly queuing up with our plates ready for a delicious, freshly flipped pancake breakfast, drizzled in maple syrup straight from the heavens.
Located on the beach, the park allows you to hear the sounds of the ocean as kids ride around on their pedal carts and squeal with excitement on the giant jumping pillow.
Phillip Island holds treasured memories for our family; of visits to the famous Penguin Parade and balmy summer evenings at the Cowes market down by the pier. There is so much for kids to do here that you really are spoilt for choice.

Right by the Anglesea River and sitting along Australia’s iconic Great Ocean Road and Victoria’s Surf Coast, Anglesea is one of those small, relaxed beachside villages that is reminiscent of the quintessential Aussie beach holiday. Kick around in your thongs and shorts and play beach cricket with friends you’ve met at the holiday park.
And if BIG4 Anglesea Holiday Park didn’t already have enough going for it with its spectacular backyard made up of beach and bush with kangaroos hopping around, the addition of an adventure playground, indoor water complex, jumping pillow, and even a giant chess set should grab kids' attention! In fact, it was impossible to get my daughter to leave the grounds to explore the region.

A trip to the Goldfields region of Victoria is a must for any family. Its incredible history can be appreciated by all members of the family through such attractions as the famous vintage talking tram tour, gold-mine experiences, and art galleries. And Bendigo is a beautiful city.
BIG4 Bendigo Park Lane Holiday Park is the perfect base for the whole family with a plethora of attractions to keep the kids entertained. Your only problem will be getting them to leave!

Mildura is renowned for its Mediterranean climate, a laid-back lifestyle revolving around the Murray River, and its reputation as a premier food and wine bowl. Take the kids for days of fun under the Mildura sun, exploring this beautiful city and all its treasures.
Water-skiing, canoeing, wakeboarding, fishing, and kayaking are all popular activities on the mighty Murray. And you might be surprised to find dozens of white, sandy beaches along the river that offer great places to swim (with supervision, of course).
Or go down the historic route with a cruise on board one of the heritage paddlesteamers. Parents will love the award-winning wine and food opportunities that abound here: Langtree Avenue is the place to go, known otherwise as ‘Feastreet’. BIG4 Mildura Getaway Holiday Park is the perfect base while staying in Mildura.
