BIG4 Casino Holiday Park

A hidden gem

in the Richmond Valley

The park is set within a secure and peaceful residential village, where the locals happily extend a welcoming handshake and operate a community managed café for the enjoyment of visitors.

Our holiday accommodation honours the properties original purpose as an airport, and the “Cottages on Magnolia Way” are designed to feel homely and styled to mirror the spectacular natural surrounds. There is also a variety of sites to accommodate a caravan, boat or recreation vehicle. The sites on “Mini Rally” are on an expansive green field featuring mountain views, with original airport buildings and a section of runway to explore.

Casino is renowned as The Beef Capital of Australia and hosts Beef Week, one of the largest regional community festivals every year in the last week of May. A thriving rural centre, Casino is surrounded by beautiful rainforest national parks and historic and art deco buildings that provide fascinating viewing and can be enjoyed on the 40-minute Heritage Walk.

There’s also a wonderful walk along the Richmond River, the many beautiful parks entice you to stop and enjoy a leisurely picnic before heading to the Platypus Pool, where with a little luck and patience you may be rewarded with a glimpse of these notoriously shy creatures.

Byron Bay can be reached by car in just over 1 hour, and Casino is well located with an easy 2 hour drive to the Gold Coast, 3 hours to Brisbane or a 90-minute flight to Sydney from Lismore Airport.
