$105,080 raised for the Clown Doctors at the 2008 BIG4 National Conference!

While everyone enjoyed a laugh over dinner with the Clown Doctors (see picture right), the fun really started when the charity auction commenced.

With our very own BIG4 auctioneer, Allan Walls of St Helens Caravan Park, and Tower Business and Real Estate at the helm, bidding was furious, resulting in $105,000 being raised – a record for any Clown Doctor fundraiser.

$12,000 of the final amount was raised by Alan himself for the fabulous hair do, see the picture right. While other items included:

• Gloria Cregan of BIG4 Nelligen Holiday Park donated her set of Pearls, only to be handed them back by Life Member Hazel Elsley who purchased them for $9,000.
• BIG4 CEO Terry Goodall was auctioned off twice for $15,000 each
• A once in a lifetime Clown Round, where you get to accompany the Clown Doctors, was sold for $11,000

BIG4 donates $7136 to the Clown Doctors for April 2008!

For every Member that joined in April 2008, BIG4 pledged to donate 5% of the Membership fee to the Clown Doctors.

The final figure was $7136. Now that's a lot of smiles!

On Wednesday June 18th, 2008 BIG4 CEO Terry Goodall presented a cheque for this amount to The Humour Foundation in Sydney.

Ocean Beach Holiday Park Smile Day 2008

For Smile Day, April 1^st, 2008 Ocean Beach Holiday Park were ‘clowning around’ to raise funds for the Clown Doctors. The Ocean Beach staff dressed up as Clowns to raise gold coin donations for the Clown Doctors!

BIG4 Shepparton East Holiday Park Easter Hot Cross Bun Drive

To support the Clown Doctors over Easter, BIG4 Shepparton East Holiday Park held a hot cross bun morning tea and raised $100 for the Clown Doctors!

BIG4 National Conference 2007 Clown Doctor Auction and Raffle

To launch BIG4’s association with the Clown Doctors we held a BIG auction and raffle at our National Conference in October, 2007. With fantastic items up for grabs, including a 10kg block of chocolate and a very special “BIG4” license plate, we managed to raise $39,515 for the Clown Doctors!
